This is all we have for now, more to follow in the future.
The Barracuda is probably the biggest and most deadly ship the average pilot is likely to run across. It is a heavily armed battle-cruiser with vast cargo carrying capabilites. What it lacks in manoeverability it makes up for in weaponary, with pylons for automatic turrets all over the main body of the ship. On the other hand it is extremley expensive and rarely on sale to private citizens.
So, well out of the price range of most pirates too large and conspicuous for assassins and smugglers, its role tends to be millitary, taking on missions requiring large amounts of troop transport space or heavy fire power with ease.
Soild, dependable and boring, the Flounder has been a mainstay of galactic trade for years. The design is optimised for cargo hauliage, not wasting space on large engines or weapons mountings. It is not completely helpless, however as it has a single, large front gun mounting and the ability to fit 2 missiles.
This was a departure for Drogna Spacetech, and their first non "head" ship. Using a novel design they managed to produce a medium sized trade ship, it has substantial straight line acceleration and good power generation systems. It's not the most manuverable of ships, and hence is generally avoided by those looking for a fighter, but it is a great passenger transport. dream.
Originally designed as a luxury intra system yacht, someone at Drogna spacetech had the bright idea of stripping out the comfy seats, bumping up the main engine, and adding a gun mounting. So was born the ideal budget trade ship. It's got a reasonable cargo space for its size (at the expense of hull thickness) and it's manouverable enough to get a skilled pilot out of trouble. This is just as well as its simply too small to fit much weaponry!
The Harlequin is another mainstay of the major galactic powers' millitary forces. It is far smaller and more manouverable than the Barracuda and therefore is able to get in and out of messy situations very quickly. It does however, lack the armour and heavy gun mountings of the larger barracuda. It still bristles With a more than average spread of weapons pylons and it often triumphs against heavier, or cumbersome opposition..
The Manta-ray is the middle-spec version of the Kludge corporation's range of ships. It is a very good trading vessel with plenty of cargo space. Although it is often crtiscised for being under power, it is still highly manouvarble and with a good pilot at the helm it can be quite a formidable ship.
You'd best have a clean conscience if one of these pop up on your scanner. The darling of the galaxy's police forces for years now, these are often seen in large fighter wings on the busy trade routes. It's fast, solid and can pack some major weaponry. OK, so there's only room in the back for the drive plates of the pirates they "sentence", but the police aren't very interested in moving fruit and veg around.
Over that last couple of years many secondhand pirahna's have entered the marketplace, and generally fetch a good price. Every Pirate king and tinpot dictator wants a few for his private army, and if you ever end up on the wrong side of one you'll find out why.
The Saithe is the preferred vessel of many smugglers. It is relativley small, fast and has a lot of cargo space. Many smugglers choose to customize the ship so that they can take passengers as well as cargo or sacrifice a certain amount of the hold for a gravity drive so they can avoid the regular jump-gates.
The sea-dragon is very fast due to its light weight and enormous shizuma rocket engine. It is a reasonable ship-to-ship fighter, but due to lack of armour probably will not stand up long if things get too hairy. It's lack of long range capability makes it not even worth considering for jobs like assasination, but it does often find service as a close escort or intra system space superiority role.
Taking the cabin and many of the internal fittings from the hammerhead, the starhead is a worthy improvement of the original hammerhead. It offers far more cargo space, and places a lot more hull between the pilot and the vacuum. Unfortunately it steers like a brick, and won't win any speed records. It also suffers from the hammerhead's lack of weapons pylons, featuring only one at the front. A good ship for sticking to the well established trade routes, it takes a brave, or suicidal, pilot to take one of these out to the edge.
In an attempt to have a "head" ship for all, Drogna Spacetech took the basic hammerhead design and gave it swept-back, majestic looking wings. It also packs some major engine punch, making this one of the most manouverable ships out there. It even pulls turns on the pirahna. The problem, and this endemic of the whole head range, is the lack of weapons pylons. You can fit a fair sized gun on the front, but there's no room for missiles. Still, the couriers love it, as do the beam weapon jocks.
The Sting-ray is the smallest of the Kludge Corporation's space-ships and serves its role as a fighter/trader ship very well. It has many gun mountings for a ship of its size ,and if the cargo hold is sacrificed, it can be set up as a versitile long range strike/assasination ship.
